Research By the Numbers

In FY23, Department of Medicine investigators received over 201 new peer-reviewed grants and fellowships, as well as a combined total of 523 new grants, fellowships, subawards, and contracts for a combined dollar amount of $340 million. 

More than $234 million came from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), representing 31% of the $751M received by the School of Medicine, which was #1 in the nation.
