Scott Steiger, MD

HS Clinical Professor

Since growing up in southeastern Kansas, Dr. Steiger has moved all over the country for school and jobs, landing on faculty at UCSF in 2012 at the Mt. Zion campus and transitioning to the San Francisco General campus in 2016. Board-certified in both internal medicine and addiction medicine, Dr. Steiger is the Deputy Medical Director of the Opiate Treatment Outpatient Program at SF General, where he also maintains a primary care practice and attends on the inpatient Addiction Care Team. His primary academic interest is in teaching about addiction and its treatments.
